Takara Kabuto Bike review

Stylish, well made and quite cheap. These few words appears in my head first when Takara Kabuto bike is finally assembled and waiting for the first ride. Bike comes in package and only few parts need to be put on. It take not longer than 30 minutes. After that you can enjoy not only great look, but also a smooth ride.

Takara Kabuto bike is quite popular because of low price and good quality. It comes with steel frame and forks, what makes it a little heaver comparing with aluminium frame bicycles. Manufacturer noticed that and other parts are made of light alloy material to compensate that. Of course, steel has its own advantages. It is much more durable and easier to repair than aluminum. As I could see, all the welds are tig welded to improve strength even more. Also, steel frame and forks create sturdy feel.

Takara bike has two options of ride. The first one is single speed, while second is freewheeling. It is easy to change from one to another. You just need to flip a single handle, which is built into the rear hub. All other adjustments such as seat high is easy done. It is worth to mention that at the first test ride you should try and then adjust brakes. This is big deal, but people often forget that.

Wheels and rims are light and well made. They will ensure good stability and speed, which is necessary for road bikes. Tires aren't the best ones, but will do its job in good terrains. After 6 months of ride, mine tires still in pretty good shape. Stock seat also isn't the ideal of comfortable, but should be fine for the majority. For short ride you won't even notice anything about it, but in longer ones it depends on you and your cheeks.

What really makes me admire of Takara Kabuto is not a smooth ride and cheap price, but the appearance. It looks just amazing. I am getting a lot of compliments how cool it looks and they go not only from my friends. You can choose between Green/Blue and Yellow/Black versions. There are also size selection. 54cm frame fits people from 5 feet, 8 inches tall to 6 feet tall. 57cm frame fits people from 5 feet, 10 inches tall to 6 feet, 2 inches tall.

Overall, Takara Kabuto bike is amazing purchase for me. Even it has some minor problems, but which product is perfect. Furthermore, its price is incredibly low, comparing with other road bikes. I think this is a great deal for beginners or just people, who want easy and fun ride to office or university. Good cycling for you!
